Participation of MRIC Staff in events organised by Team SYNthesis (August to October 2022)
63rd UTM PLC (Project Leadership Certification) 5.0 bootcamp training
Dr Roubeena Jeetah-Rampadaruth and Mr Kiran Tatoree participated in the 63rd UTM PLC (Project Leadership Certification) 5.0 bootcamp training from 1st to 5th August 2022 organised by the University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) in collaboration with Team SYNthesis at Ravenala Attitude Hotel, Balaclava. The objective of the Bootcamp was to train leaders on the development of appropriate Project Management Plans with a view to effectively and successfully devising, implementing and managing projects to achieve enhanced results. PLC 5.0 was conducted over 5 days which focused on (10) important knowledge areas of Project Management and five (5) Leadership Areas. The intensive training also comprised of Industry Guest Speaker Leadership Series sessions whereby international speakers shared their personal and professional experiences. The bootcamp training imparted and tested learning of candidates under very strict conditions with emphasis on practical sessions involving computer-based exams, course works, case studies, group works and a final presentation. Upon successful completion of the training, both Dr R Jeetah-Rampadaruth and Mr K Tatoree became certified PLC Associates.

On 21st October 2022, four MRIC staff participated in the Leadership 5.0 Masterclass at Ravenala Attitude Hotel, Balaclava, namely Mrs S Patten-Ramen, Mr Z Soreefan, Ms H Ramjane and Ms Y Khuttur. The Masterclass titled ‘Innovation Duality 5.0 – Pivoting for a future-proofed sustainable human-centric era’ had as aim to motivate organisations to adopt Transformation 5.0 to remain successful so that their people are able to rapidly respond to a disruptive operating environment and optimally sustain resilient growth.
The MRIC was awarded in the Top 5 Corporate Participants during the 14th Annual Leadership Award (ALA) held on 21st October 2022 for its research, innovation and sustainability endeavours. The award was given by His Excellency Mr Prithivirajsing Roopun G.C.S.K, President of the Republic of Mauritius. This is the second recognition received by the MRIC for its activities; the first one obtained in 2020.
